A while ago I met a nice Indian couple who are also experienced nudists. Working together we made this graphic to showcase their lifestyle.
India (aka Bharat) with its rich history isn’t exactly the friendliest country towards nudity. The country has strict obscenity laws, some going back to the colonial era. Similar to most of the countries in the world, even in India your naked body is something that is kept private, and social nudity is met with judgement from others. In a society that believes morality and modesty are tied to what people wear and the amount of skin they show, nudism almost seems like a revolutionary act.
We recently discovered about nudist communities in India. Given the prejudice against nudity from the Indian society and legal system, these nudists are finding ways to get around that. Though secretive, the nudist community in India is growing. There are secret get-togethers who shed their inhibitions and their clothes at clandestine meetups organized through online communities for like-minded individuals. Kudos to these secret Indian nudists for overcoming social stigmas and embracing this beautiful lifestyle.
Nudism happened to us only because we migrated to Australia. Being so far away from home, without the fear of being caught by any family and friends, probably gave us the courage to try nudism. Even after a decade of being nudists, this lifestyle remains a secret from our families & friends. We still haven’t been able to overcome the fear of consequences and risking negative repercussions.
Nevertheless, social nudism has now become one of our favourite hobbies. Ultimately, from our point of view - being naked is not about being seen nude; it's about the comfort and joy that comes from existing in our natural state.
Too bad nudism is still a secret in some countries. Fortunately, there are brave people to help discover & promote our social nudity.
a little progress can go a longer distance thru time.
